Make it a day of charming world heritage cities, lots of walls, intriguing history and abundance of Gothic architecture. A trip to Segovia and Avila is all about this and more!
The small towns are not quite easy to reach, hence a round trip from Madrid in a comfortable luxury bus is all you could wish for. From a Roman aqueduct running through the old town and a castle-fortress perched on a hill, Segovia seems like a town out of a period drama. Not far from Segovia, the massive, perfectly preserved fortress walls of Avila encircles grand palaces, old convents and Gothic cathedrals.
